activists installed anti-war art in the pardall tunnel @ uc santa barbara
i never got around to snapping a picture of this installation of anti-war art hanging from the grating above the much-traversed pardall tunnel, which gives passage to bicycle & foot traffic between the university of california, santa barbara campus & the "student ghetto" known as isla vista. it was up in february about the time of that big anti-war walkout on campus here.
i was glad to see that the top image in this post had been made into a banner at the sbantiwar.org website, & i recently snapped this "after" photo.
all of the pieces have been removed since around late february, but it seemed to be a really smart & effective art project.
